Reflexology and Healing
This is beautiful, gentle yet powerful work.
Before the session starts, we have a brief conversation about why you have come, how you have been since your last treatment, what you would like from this treatment.
Reflexology can support anxiety, back and neck problems, insomnia, difficulties with conception, depression, chronic pain and many more issues. Mothers often enjoy reflexology during pregnancy and afterwards. Reflexology can be very effective for children. Often people come for reflexology for general well being and to support a balanced and healthy life.
I work from a private room at White Post, near Wellington.
This is a beautiful, peaceful location nestled next to a Langford Heathfield Nature reserve. There is a renowned cafe, with magnificent views on site, along with a garden centre, a couple of bespoke shops, also massage and pilates available next door!

Your Treatment
When we are ready to begin, you lie back on the reclining chair. I will take off your socks and cushion your feet, then bathe your feet with a warm cloth. Each treatment begins with some relaxation technique. Then I will move on to give you a tailored treatment, massaging your feet and pressing on reflex points to bring your physical and energetic body into greater balance. Most people chat for the first few minutes and then drop into a deeply relaxed state.
Does it work?
Reflexology is increasingly being recognised as a very useful aid to well being. The focus of Reflexology is to bring the whole system into a state of homeostasis or balance. When we are well balanced our whole system knows how to work.
Often in modern life, stress, anxiety, depression, toxins, over work and other factors cause us to be out of balance and this can then lead to a host of other health problems. Regular reflexology allows your body to release, the time to drop and rest deeply.
With focus on specific reflex points, reflexology can effectively support ;
back, neck, fertility, digestive, skin, menopausal, endocrine ...and many other physical issues.
It is now understood that by supporting the nervous and immune systems, we are able to create an environment for the whole person to heal.
And healing is a two way process. For this reason it is important that a good relationship is developed between therapist and client, this relationship supports the healing of the whole person. I love learning about all of my clients and finding the best ways to support them with reflexology and other healing modalities.
What else do I need to know?
Reflexology is a very safe treatment. Clare will take a full medical history in your first session, so that she is aware of your medical story.
The whole session will last one and a quarter hours.
Clare is fully qualified and insured. She is a Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR)
Healing
As described above, reflexology is in itself a deeply healing experience. In her own journey of healing Clare has worked with Spiritual healing, Shamanic healing and Creative kinesiology alongside Reflexology. Through exploring and training in these ways Clare has developed a strong intuitive sense which is naturally woven into a reflexology session.
Clare is happy to share intuitions as they arise during a treatment. This can be supportive and comforting. Clare also offers guidance and advice at the end of each treatment.
If this is not for you, that is totally fine too! Reflexology is powerful and effective with or without guiding words.
"Clare intuitively found what required attention and was able to help me resolve some longstanding discomforts
I am very guarded with my body and energy system and am careful when choosing any therapist yet I was able instantly to completely trust Clare to work with me on a deep level.
I have no qualms about describing her as caring, competent and professional."
